In TCSâs Experiential Learning Friday, students took on the challenge of rock climbing to push their limits! Guided by their PE teachers, they learned the essentials and techniques of climbing to prepare for this adventure.
Rock climbing, an intense and dynamic sport, started gaining popularity in the 1970s and made its Olympic debut in 2020. With different styles, like bouldering and speed climbing, the sport tests strength, explosiveness, and coordination.
Height Adjustment: Everyone reacts to heights differently, so itâs best to start low and gradually adapt. Â
Balance with Lower Body Strength: Use your legs for support rather than relying heavily on your arms. Â
Stay Calm and Controlled: Engage your core, take each step with purpose, and avoid rushing.
đ¸ With guidance from their teachers, students faced the challenge courageously, pushed themselves to reach the top, overcame their fear of heights, and discovered the thrill of a new extreme sport!
