At TCS, we emphasize interdisciplinary learning, connecting technology, economy, and culture to real-world issues. Last Friday, students explored both cutting-edge innovation and rich heritage through visits to the TSMC Museum of Innovation and New Tile House Hakka Cultural District.
🔹 Exploring Innovation at TSMC
Students discovered how semiconductors power modern technology and shape Taiwan’s global influence.
They explored:
✅ IC Technology & AI – How integrated circuits drive digital transformation
✅ Semiconductor Advancements – Innovations like nanosheet transistors improving efficiency
✅ Visionary Leadership – Dr. Morris Chang’s role in Taiwan’s semiconductor success
🔹STEM Meets Social Science
Students analyzed TSMC’s economic and geopolitical impact, comparing it to Canada’s Pacific Railway, both pivotal in shaping national security and development.
🔹 Discovering Hakka Heritage
At New Tile House, students explored Hakka architecture, migration, and traditions, reflecting on how culture adapts in a rapidly evolving world.
🔹Connecting Technology & Society
By experiencing both innovation and heritage, students saw how STEM drives economic growth while culture preserves identity, reinforcing the importance of interdisciplinary learning in shaping the future!
