🌟【TCS Experiential Learning Friday | Social Service Club — Hualien Service Learning Trip Zhixue Elementary School #花蓮志學國小】

One of the most heartwarming moments from our service trip to Zhixue Elementary School was the meaningful connection our students built with the children — not only through planned activities but through simple, joyful interactions.

From the moment we arrived, the students of Zhixue welcomed us with cheerful songs in the hallway, setting the tone for an afternoon filled with laughter and learning. Our Social Service Club members led interactive board games and a lively drawing game, where students took turns illustrating funny prompts in English. These creative, language-based activities became a bridge for communication, allowing everyone to share, laugh, and learn together.

A special highlight was being invited to join their tee-ball practice — a sport they excel in, having won first place in a nationwide competition. Through this friendly game, our students witnessed the dedication, teamwork, and school pride that makes Zhixue Elementary School so special.

💌 For our students, this visit became more than a service project. It was a reminder that meaningful service is about presence, empathy, and shared experiences. They left Zhixue with new friendships, valuable lessons, and the hope to return and continue this growing connection.
